Annalisa Smith trained as an elementary teacher and embarked on an amazing voyage to teach at international schools in Asia from 2004-2015. She’s also worked as a homeschool coordinator for missionary families and in children’s ministry. A husband and several moves later, the Lord granted her two long-time prayers, surprisingly in the same year: to go to seminary and to become a mother. As Annalisa slowly finishes her seminary studies, she also coordinates the Family Nurture services at Covenant: running the Log Cabin childcare services and providing events and connections for families of students. She also dabbles in curriculum writing and loves to equip others to think Biblically and developmentally in their work with children.

Annalisa feels most at home teaching preschoolers about the Bible, sampling Asian cuisine while telling travel stories, chatting with friends over hot cups of tea or coffee, finding ways to communicate big truths with small words, and enjoying moments of laughter with her husband, Cary, and sweet toddler, Charissa.
