Certification Application Process

To apply for certification please fill out an application (HERE) and have your local church pastor fill out a pastoral recommendation form (HERE). If you have any issues with your application or recommendation form contact us at CDM.CERTIFICATION@pcanet.org.  

Please read all forms carefully and fill them out completely before submitting or turning them in. Applications and pastoral recommendation forms are due by October 1, 2024. Both forms must be submitted to be considered for the certification program.  Classes are scheduled to begin in January 2025.

Certification Cost

The cost of certification for the 2025 class is $1800 + $25 application fee.

The certification cost includes:

  • 12 months of certification courses
  • An online platform, video teaching, & downloadable resources
  • Continuous coaching from experienced faculty
  • The registration cost to the Children’s Ministry Leadership Retreat, March 18-20, 2025. The registration cost (approx. $400 for non-certification participants) includes conference registration, lodging, and meals. Participants unable to attend the retreat will not receive a refund or discount on cost of certification.

The cost of certification does not cover the required books needed for the courses. Books can be purchased at a discounted cost through the PCA Bookstore.  www.pcabookstore.com. A list of the required books is on the website under the application process.

A non-refundable $25 application fee is due with your application. (Once your application is received you will then be sent a link to pay the registration fee.)

The $1800 is due when certification begins in January 2025.

The certification graduation will take place at the Children’s Ministry Leadership Training Retreat in the Spring following your certification year (Spring 2026). The registration cost for this retreat is not covered in your tuition.
