Course Description for Foundations of Apologetics and Outreach at Covenant Theological Seminary

This class endeavors to help students understand and exalt in the fact that God is the Great Evangelist and to appreciate that our task, all through our lives, is to co-operate with His reconciling all things to Himself through Christ. This class eschews faddishness and dependence on ‘technique’ and instead focuses on foundational principles of evangelism and apologetics from God’s Word. It also encourages the intentional building of meaningful relationships with all manner of other-than-Christians for the rest of our lives, starting now while taking this course.

Dates: January 12-14, 2026

Costs:

  • Due upon registration: $300* to CDM to reserve your spot.
  • Due later: $200 to Covenant Theological Seminary.
  • Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and food for the 3 day/3 night residency on January 12-14, 2026 in St. Louis. The residency is not required but is highly encouraged to get the most out of the learning experience. You will spend time with other students, the faculty, and the other participants of the CDM cohort. All details will be discussed once the cohort is underway.

*$300 registration covers CDM cohort led by facilitator on Zoom platform. $200 to CTS covers auditor application and course fee, use of Canvas platform, and digital resources.
